Children of ages, 0-19 may participate in music therapy. Skills addressed by the music therapist are those suggested by the parents or can come from IEP goals. These include, but are not limited to: social skills, cognitive skills (reading, math, counting, money, telling time, etc.) speech and general communication, and fine and gross motor skills. MT sessions are weekly and last between 30-45 minutes. Most sessions are done in the child's home, and parents are welcome to participate.
