The new baby play group was recently put in place as a vision by the LLDSS President, with the hope that our community can provide a more intimate and supportive network for new families of a child with Down Syndrome. The group consists of moms and their babies with Down Syndrome that meet on a monthly basis to touch base for questions, support, and resources. In some cases, these mothers convene on a social basis with one another or combine activities for their children to participate in. We hope that this group will provide a foundation for mothers to connect and retrieve courage and positive affirmation about raising a child with Down Syndrome.
